People at the heart of transformation
In the autumn of 2023, S7 teamed up with the global people team at a world leading maritime classification society and a prominent and pioneering voice in the energy transition.
"S7 meticulously prepared in-house facilitators to deliver an engaging, innovative experience for our global people team. Not only did we source some exciting ideas – through this cascade approach we also sowed the ground for faster implementation."

The need
A new strategy had just been completed, articulating the trends the company needed to respond to and the requirements for each of the company's business areas.
Among these requirements were needs that the company's people function would need to help meet.
The global people team had identified a set of 'transformation areas' that needed to be addressed in order to help the business areas execute on their strategic aims.
In order to implement these transformations, the global people leadership wanted to tap into the insight and ingenuity of its wider team, 'crowdsourcing' innovative, doable solutions that could rapidly strengthen the performance of the people function.
The approach
S7 designed and ran a day-long Global People Summit for the global people team, with around a hundred participants from a range of countries coming to the corporate HQ.
In the run-up to the summit, S7 had prepared a team of internal facilitators to lead their colleagues through a design-thinking-centered process to identify and dissect problems getting in the way of transformation, and then craft practical solutions with low barriers to implementation.
Solutions were tabled and pitched, tackling everything from innovating the way in which the company developed its people to finding the right way to embed 'one' culture while respecting local differences across 100 countries of operation.
